We signed off for the year with another positive result that kept us all in good spirits for the following Christmas party. Although the scoreline looks like a walkover, the game was far from straightforward with the Krauts giving a good account of themselves.

We got the perfect start when, from a free kick, Karsten spotted their goalkeeper slightly out of position and curled a shot perfectly into the top corner from all of forty yards.

However afterwards we struggled to control the game and the Krauts came back, first hitting the crossbar twice in quick succession and then equalising from the penalty spot. The fourth we have given away in four games!

At half time we decided to push our line up and pressure the Krauts more, this was a gamble that brought our attacking players into the game but also left us susceptible to counter attacks.

The tactic looked to have backfired with the Krauts scoring to go ahead and then breaking beyond out backline a few times with Alvaro making a couple of important one on one saves.

But suddenly our attack woke up after Tobi smashed in a shot from outside the box then lifted a fine finish over their keeper to make it 3-2. From there on in we never looked back. Man of the match Nas added two more, Tobi completed his hat trick and Chris powered in a header from a corner.
