The weekends of May 13-14 and May 20-21 will remain the best moments of the season for the Youth.

It was in two high quality tournaments in Shanghai and Beijing that ReUnited youth team were crowned Champions. The first trophy by winning “SPL world cup” in Shanghai on May 14, and the second by winning “Beijing Capital cup” on May 21.

The SPL world cup this year was seven a side tournament with 5 clubs representing 6 countries. Century Park (Argentina), Dulwich (Germany) , Ebbe Sand (Brazil) , WISS 1 (Spain), WISS 2 (England) and Shanghai ReUnited (France). The teams had to play each other once , and the Champion would be the team with the highest number of points.  France 1st 12 points. –  England 2nd 11 points.  Game Results…

France 2 – 0 Argentina . Century park tried very hard but ReU had a solid defense and could count on Maximilian Dyckerhoff and Dušan Marinković to score 2 goals.
Spain 0 – 1 France. Very tough game. So many chances missed by ReU but thanks to Dušan goal in the last minute of the game to win WISS 2.
England 2 -1 France. Started by 1-0 lead for ReU then 1-1 and a lost 2-1 to WISS 1. The team was very tired after having played 3 games of 25 min in a row with no break. The Chances to be champions were very few. But the result 1-1 between WISS1 and WISS 2 plus another tie game of Wiss 2 with Dulwich brought the team back in the title race.                                                           France 1 – 0 Germany. ReU had a hard time against a very solid Dulwich team but Maximilian found the net on individual action before the end.
Brazil 1 – 5 France. The last game to become champions, ALL IN, power, pressing, aggressiveness, no mercy, 5 goals and celebration.

Great achievement for the boys, and big respect by the opponents.

The success continued the following weekend in Beijing Capital Cup, on an 11 a side format. It was a football lesson given by ReU to the opponents on 7 games played, 6 wins, 1 draw , 41 goals scored and 1 conceded. Nothing could stop the Champions.

The toughest moments to remember was the 3 difficult games of ReU vs the tournament organizer Sport Beijing. ReUnited won 1-0 and drew 1-1 in the group stage,  and won 1-0 in the final on Jo Seung Hwan( Joshua) goal to become the first Beijing Capital Cup Champion team on 11 a side.
