3United faced off against the Oranje on the first week back from the New Year holiday. It looked to be a messy game with a muddied pitch from 24 hours of constant drizzle. But after coming off quite a few losses in their past league games, 3U were looking to get back on track regardless of the weather.

From the get go, 3United dominated the midfield and their defensive half, winning almost every 50/50 ball and challenge regardless of where it was on the field. They were finally rewarded about 30 minutes into the half, when Oraz Arslanow received a ball in the box from Joe Williams and smacked a ball into the back netting to put 3U ahead. The end of the first forty-five minutes saw Oranje pressing hard into the 3U half but the defensive line and keeper were able to handle everything that came at them cleanly. The first half ended: 3U 1, Oranje 0.

The second half started with a 3U team renewed with vigor, launching heavy attacks on the Oranje midfield. But despite this, the first 10 minutes were scoreless with 3United missing a few good chances and Oranje seeing a dangerous counter-attack but unable to convert. Then 3U turned on overdrive, starting with Markus Birgler trapping a ball from Nick Law at the top of the box, turning a defender and shot a low ball past the diving keeper for the 2-0. A few minutes later, Law made a dangerous run down the left side and was fouled inside the box, awarding 3U a penalty. He took the penalty in the mud pit of a box, faked the keeper right and blasted the shot into the left side of the net for the 3-0. At this point, Oranje, finally got some momentum going and had 3-4 chances, but the defense, keeper and mud were able to keep them from putting one on goal. To seal the deal for 3U, Joe Williams received a pass from Law and blasted a shot from the edge of the box into the top left corner assuring the 3United win. The game ended: 3U 4, Oranje 0.
