Some weeks ago we entered for the first time the Shanghai Stadium 7’s Monday league. After several seasons in the Weplay league it was time to try out something new. And boy, how did we enter it!

After four weeks we stand atop of the table, undefeated and without any point loss. Every week Mike puts together a strong squad that has so far managed to keep all opponents at distance. Our goal difference of +14 proves both our scoring abilities (for example Jan Schmitz and Sebastian Andersson 6 goals each already) but also our strong midfield and defense, who do not allow other teams many chances. Players like Lee Rowbotham and Kris Goj picking up Man of the Match awards is further evidence to that. Our key to success though is a great team effort and everybody running for each other, helping each other out wherever needed. Even Cody played everything from keeper to sweeper to striker already.

Nevertheless, there are several teams close up and we will have to keep momentum up to defend our position. We are very happy though to participate in this competitive league and will fight to keep our place in the sun.
