On a rare 3pm kickoff last Saturday, 3United faced off against United. Having come off a loss at the hands of their brother club ReUnited, they were hoping for some redemption and a few more points on the table against United.
At the start of the game, United came on hard and exploited the 3United midfield and defense. Their assault got them two quick goals: an amazing left-footed, turn-on-a-dime shot from outside the box and a conceded penalty. 3United changed up their formation and turned the game around, dominating the rest of the half. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get them onto the scoreboard. The half ended 0-2 to United.
The second half was a more even match, possession shared at about 50% for each side but both defenses were able to handle all the attacks launched upon them. The half ended goalless with United winning the match up 2-0.
Man of the match honors for 3United went to Pablo Carbonero.
